ONCE UPON A TIME...

In a world before Instagram (I know it's hard to remember back that  long)

I was broke, anxious and exhausted. 

I came into this industry 17+ years ago as an absolute ball of anxiety. I loved doing hair and felt so drawn to this industry, but, well, how to put this kindly…I really f*cking sucked 🤣 Let’s just say I wasn’t really one of those people born with the natural intuitive ability to create beautiful hair 😅

 

I spent the first few years of my career feeling anxious AF, terrified of every service, completely void of confidence, and generally just clueless on how to get better and do beautiful hair that didn’t take me 298347 hours (which I so desperately wanted to do!) Did I mention I was making less than $20,000 per year? Broke and an anxious mess…a stellar combination!

AND THEN...

I FINALLY SAID I'M DONE!



AND DECIDED I WAS DONE WITH THE TERRIBLE FEELING OF NERVOUSNESS BEFORE EVERY CLIENT. THAT FEELING OF DREADING WORK GOT REALLLYYY OLD. I INVESTED A SHIT TON OF MONEY INTO EDUCATION AND I STARTED FORCING MYSELF TO LEARN ABOUT TRULY UNDERSTANDING WHAT OUTCOME THE PLACEMENTS AND TECHNIQUES THAT I WAS DOING WULD BRING ME. I STARTED MAKING MAJOT CHANGES IN ALL ASPECTS OF MY BUSINESS AND THING STARTED TO CHANGE...

  • I was making more money because I was working so much more efficiently. 
  • I felt confident, I felt happy.
  • I finally felt like I was excited to go to work instead of the feeling of massive dread. 
  • I started creating inspo worthy hair and it wasn't taking me endless hours to create.
